ICRAMM - Integrated Crack Monitoring Module
The Integrated Crack Monitoring
Module (ICRAMM) is a miniaturized data acquisition and storage unit
enabling strain measurement, crack growth monitoring and data analysis.
System Features
- local strain, crack growth and crack opening displacement measurement
- onboard data acquisition and storage
- data download via serial port or memory card
- magnetic attachment for easy installation and removal
- customized to specific vessel or structure application
Data Processing & Analysis
The ICRAMM system comes with
software that facilitates the retrieval, processing and analysis of
strain and crack behaviour and damage accumulation assessment.
- download and read information with the ICRAMM software
- plot data for selected scan sequences, overlaying additional data as desired
- generate a failure assessment diagram, displaying crack data in relation to acceptable limits and standards
- export data to other applications for analysis
- record structure or crack response to current environmental/operational conditions in real time
- assess damage severity
Applications
collect, analyze and apply in-situ strain and crack data in order to optimize operations
- establish operational guidelines or limitations
- develop service life intervals or critical flaw size estimates for maintenance management
- validate existing structural integrity information
Strain Gauge
- 16 channels, up to 40Hz sampling rates(Depending on number of channels)
- 0-9999 samples per acquisition cycle
- 3.3 volt bridge excitation
- full, one quarter and one half bridge with internal 350 Ohm completion resistors
- +/-10 000 µStrain nominal range at 3.3 V excitation, quarter bridge
- resolution better than 0.5 µStrain at 3.3 V excitation, quarter bridge
- DCPD
- 2 channels, 2A pulsed constant current source, 1-3Hz sample rates and 0-99 samples per acquisition cycle
